O WSCHODZIE WE WSCHODNIM (AT DAWN IN THE EAST), 2024 performative sound walk, 4:30 AM – 7 AM is a performative sound walk prepared together with cellist Katarzyna Golla. In the early hours of the awakening day, participants listened to what is not necessarily accessible to our ears on a daily basis. The starting point for this narrative was the voices and stories of people who have visited the park over the years. We explored what it once was, creating together a new version of a semi-magical sound reality. The reality detached from the ubiquitous noise of the surrounding bypass of Wielka Wyspa Avenue and other sounds (e.g., the nearby shooting range) that disrupt the natural acoustics of the landscape. The walk was culminated with a concert by Golla, and the event also marked the premiere of a composition-audio drama in the form of a sound walk on the ECHOES platform (www.echoes.xyz) , documenting memories of the soundscape of Park Wschodni.
