THE WAITERS, 2025,  performance at the train station in Košice, Slovakia; in cooperation with K.A.I.R., Košice, unfolds within a landscape of suspension. The train station, a place built for departures, pauses, and delays, becomes a living metaphor for waiting itself. It gathers those who are in transit yet never entirely moving: passengers, workers, regulars, drifters. Their gestures, silences, and glances compose the quiet choreography of anticipation. Here, waiting is not merely a pause before something begins but an ongoing state, a condition we inhabit daily, almost unconsciously. Each person carries their own waitings, distinct and continuous, yet intertwined with those of others. Together, they form a collective body suspended in time. The performers presence and actions blur with those of regular commuters - who also in this scenario become performers themselves - which intensifies the eeriness of their presence. Rhythmic, repetitive gestures bring attention to the way people move while waiting and how mechanical and politicize our behavior is.

The live performance is accompanied by an audio track to be listened to while watching the piece or visiting independently the railway station.
